The Ootacamund Hounds still meet

IN a recent Bedtime Stories, we featured a story about a less than auspicious meet of the Ootacamund Hunt. We’ve heard from quite a few readers who enjoyed it, and so we thought you’d be interested to know that the hunt still exists in India and still meets.

We found this out in a fun way. This morning, as usual, I logged on to the hound blog and saw on our admin page that someone had arrived at the blog by searching for the terms “ooty hunt pups.” Well, that was too much of a coincidence, so I did a search myself for “ooty hunt,” and, whaddaya know, they’re out there, still hunting. Here’s a BBC story about them:
